Aiming at the difficulties in organic chemistry teaching in higher vocational colleges, this paper discusses the mixed mode teaching applied in organic chemistry by taking dicarboxylic acid teaching as an example. By using flip classroom teaching which combines online learning and classroom learning, the classroom teaching mode transforms its focus from the "teacher-centered model" into "student-centered model". Meanwhile, according to the characteristics of higher vocational students, tasks lists of problemsbased learning and group-learning model of the leader responsibility system are used. The practice proves that the teaching effect is satisfactory.
