A four-spin complex {[Mn(hfac)₂]₂(4P4NIT)₂}·CHCl₃(4P4NIT=2-(4'-(4"-pyridyl)phenyl)-4,4,5,5-tetramethylimidazoline-1-oxyl-3-oxide,hfac=1,1,1,5,5,5-hexafluoro-acetylaceonate anion) was synthesized using a pyridyl substituted nitroxide radical.The single crystal X-ray analysis reveals that two 4P4NIT radicals act as bridging ligand linking two Mn(hfac)₂ units together.The magnetic study shows that there exists strong magnetic interaction between Mn(Ⅱ) ions and directly bonded radicals.
