N-Arylation of Nitrogen Heterocycles Catalyzed by Copper(Ⅰ) Iodide/Ethylenediamine

This paper discussed the Ullmann reaction of aryl halides with nitrogen heterocycles catalyzed by copper(Ⅰ) iodide/ethylenediamine.The results showed that reaction was preferred for nitrogen heterocycles with lower pK_a values.In addition,the reactions were also favorable for the electron-rich aryl halides with p-π conjugations,however,they became difficult for other electron-rich aryl halides.
