One of the new methods for sharing and exchanging information is through internet live broadcasting of knowledge. This method has several advantages, including participation by all people, unlimited ways to present knowledge, and instant interactivity. We believe that this method will be critical for popularizing the chemical knowledge to the public. Therefore, we have conducted more than ten sessions of knowledge popularization of chemistry through internet live broadcasting, which have received positive social feedback. In this way, we have designed methods and prepared high-quality programs suitable for internet live broadcasting of chemical knowledge. Herein, we summarize some of the key results from our efforts and offer some insights of future applications of this method in popularization of chemistry.

Abstract:
With the fast urbanization and the improved requirements for land use efficiency, we combine plants with nano-functional materials, endow plants with magical functions, and achieve the efficient use of plants. Through the optimization of the literature and expanding the plant functions, we successfully designed the "living plant photonic capacitor". These functional plants are easy to display, green and safe. This topic carries out multilevel science popularization. In addition, we make a scientific interpretation of the concepts of nanometers and nanoparticles of public concern. Through vivid and intuitive experiments, this project lays the seeds of scientific inquiry for kids and helps the public feel the beauty and the interest of chemistry.

Abstract:
In this popular science experiment, a variety of common green plants were selected for the experiment. The contact angle images were obtained using a mobile phone and microscopic magnifier; the original Python program was used to calculate the contact angle. According to the contact angle phenomenon of different leaves and their surface structure characteristics, glass sheets, Zn sheets, and other materials have been adopted to simulate the microstructure of leaves in a simplified manner. Additionally, bionic surface materials were obtained with different wetting properties. From the application of this blade contact angle phenomenon to the exploration and simulation of surface microstructures, this experiment revealed the relationship between the leaf structure and function from the perspective of interface chemistry and investigated the concept that chemistry comes from life.

Abstract:
The contact angle of liquid on the surface of solid materials is determined by the liquid surface tension, the solid surface tension, and the solid-liquid interface tension, which is an important parameter to measure the wettability of liquid on the surface of material. In this study, the metal mesh, a common material in daily life, is modified from hydrophilic and oleophylic to hydrophilic and oleophobic. The common preparation methods have certain limitations in popular science popularization, therefore, this paper innovatively optimized and improved the preparation scheme. The material prepared by a simple method shows good hydrophilic and oleophobic properties. Thus, this improved experiment has good scientific popularization. In addition, this popular science experiment also designed a variety of popular science exhibitions for different people, so as to improve the public's cognition of chemical knowledge and enhance their environmental awareness.

Abstract:
The experiment is a comprehensive popular science experiment designed on the basis of supramolecular gels preparation, combining the two common principles of flame test and color change of indicator. In the preparation of gel, calcium acetate solution and ethanol were mixed first, metal salt (or boric acid) and acid-base indicator were added. When the gel was ignited, the gel showed colored flame because of the metal salt (or boric acid). The heat leads to hydrolytic equilibrium shift of acetate in the gel, leading to the color change of acid-base indicator in the gel. The exhibition effect of experiment is gorgeous and colorful, just like the bright nebula shining in the universe. The experiment is safe and easy to operate, involving rich knowledge, possessing obvious phenomenon, and showing adequately the beauty of chemistry, which can well meet the learning needs of different groups of people.
