Abstract:
Electronic circular dichroism (ECD) spectroscopy related to electron transition energy levels has become a mainstream characterization mean of the comprehensive chiroptical spectroscopy in the study on chiral stereochemistry, because of its wider research objects and mutual complementarity with vibrational circular dichroism (VCD) spectroscopy involving vibrational energy levels. In this paper, three main methods of determination of absolute configuration of chiral metal complexes are summarized. ECD spectroscopic methods are described in detail, among them exciton chirality method is emphasized. Additionally, this review points out the developing trend of the comprehensive chiroptical spectroscopy in the future.

Abstract:
Following the idea of frontiers leading, internationalization, micromation and green teaching, the reform of organic chemistry laboratory bilingual course system has been focused on experimental basis, basic operations, micro synthetic, and comprehensive experiments. On the basis of the establishment of bilingual experiment preview system and the improvement of evaluation system, the students are demanded to master the experiment principle, understand the experiment objective, know the apparatus, reagents and procedures, and finish the preview report in English. This could make the students interested in organic chemistry experiments and professional English. The aim of the course is focused on the mastery and application of the basic theory and operation methods, as well as cultivating the students with international perspective, solid experimental skills and innovational consciousness.

[Abstract](438) [FullText HTML] [PDF 878KB](3)
Abstract:
A new research-based comprehensive experiment was introduced. Low-cost polyanilinelignosulfonate (PAL) composite with high-adsorption performance was synthesized via a facile oxidative chemical polymerization from aniline monomers by using lignosulfonate as a dispersant. Students are required to master the experimental procedures of PAL composite synthesis, and systematically understand the methods of characterization and dye-adsorption performance measurements of PAL. Through this experiment, students can study and apply polymer chemistry, polymer physics, and functional polymer, as well as develop their comprehensive experimental abilities.
