Abstract:
Conjugated diene solution polymerization catalyzed by polynuclear ND-Al bimetal-lic complex was further studied. Results indicate that the activity of the active species was imporved by appropriate sliaking time. The purity of the polymerization system and the sta-bility of the active species were examined by additional AlEt3.The type of solvent had obvi-ously influence on the activity of the active species and the molecular weight of polymers ob-tained,the order of activity being toluene≥cyclohexane>n-hexane,and conversely, the or-der of[η]being toluene《 cyclohexane<n-hexane.Difference monomers had different fea-tures of stereospecific polymerization;cis-1,4 microstructure content of polybutadiene was lower and varied more obviously with the experimental conditions than that of polyisoprene. The results aid in deepgoing understanding of the stereospecific polymerization initiated by rare earthcatalyst.

Abstract:
The polyaniline film electrodes incorporated with platinum microparticles by cyclic potential sweep were prepared and the electrocatalytic activity and stability were studied on oxidation of formaldehyde in 0.5mol/L H2SO4.The electrodes which combine both electroac-tivity and catalytic activity exhibit a very high electrocatalytic activity for oxidation of formaldehyde in aqueous acidic solution. The catalytic currents at the platinum microparticle modified polyaniline electrode were ten times larger than those at naked platinum electrode. The catalytic activity depends strongly on the size, distribution and amount of the loaded platinum microparticles, as well as on the concentration of formaldehyde and the electrode material.
