摘要: Inthispaper,weproposedamethodtodeterminethenucleationeffectofpre-existingcrystalsoncrystallizationofthesecondblockindoublecrystallineblockcopolymers,whichisusuallycoveredbythesuppressioneffect.Thenucleationmechanismofpoly(ethyleneoxide)(PEO)blockfromthepre-crystallizedpolyethylene(PE)blockinpoly(ethylene-co-butene)-b-poly(ethyleneglycol)(EmEOn)diblockcopolymerswasinvestigatedundervariablecrystallizationenvironments.ThecrystallizationenvironmentforthePEOblockwasalteredbycoolingatdifferentcoolingratesorsuccessiveself-nucleation(SSN)tothePEblock.Itwasfoundthatthepresenceofnucleationeffectisstronglydependentoncompositionoftheblockcopolymers.Thecrystallizationtemperature(Tc)ofPEOblockinE174EO90increasesascoolingrateappliedtothePEblockdecreases,indicatingthatPEblockcannucleatethecrystallizationofPEOblockandmoreperfectPEcrystalshavestrongernucleationeffect.InE182EO41crystallizationofthePEOblockisconfined,shownbythedisappearanceofself-nucleationdomain,andthePEblockhasnonucleationeffectonthecrystallizationofPEOblock.DoublecrystallizationpeaksareobservedforthePEOblockinE182EO41andtheintensityofthecrystallizationpeakathighertemperatureincreasesasthePEcrystalsbecomemoreperfect.Afterexclusionofhomogeneousnucleationmechanism,thehighertemperaturecrystallizationpeakofthePEOblockinE182EO41istentativelyascribedtosurfacenucleation.
