Complexes [Co(L)₂(H₂O)₂(NO₃)₂] (1) and [Ag(L)₂(NO₃)] (2) were synthesized (L=4-(3H)-quinazolinone), and were both characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis and thermogravimetric analysis. Single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis showed that they all belong to triclinic space group, but 1 is six-coordinated and 2 is three-coordinated. Meanwhile, the solid-state fluorescence and anticancer activity of 2 also were studied. CCDC: 1011403, 1; 1011401, 2.
